Dr. Virendra Singh is the President of Mahavir Jaipuria Rajasthan Hospital which he started in association with Dr. SS Agarwal. He is a leading asthma specialist of our country and is considered a pioneer in the field of respiratory medicine in which he has worked since past 40 years. Dr. Singh is credited with many patents and inventions such as Pink City Flow Meter and Pink City Lung Exerciser which are used extensively by Asthmatic patients. For his enormous contribution, Dr. Singh has been awarded Dr. BC Roy award which is the highest medical award in the country. Before starting Rajasthan Hospital, Dr. Singh retired as the Superintendent of SMS Medical College, Jaipur which
was also his alma mater. He also serves as the director of Asthma Bhawan, Jaipur.

Dr. Singh is a prestigious alumnus of SMS Medical College, completing his MBBS & MD (Medicine) from the institute. He went on to work in his alma mater for the next 35 year, eventually retiring as the Medical Superintendent of the hospital. He applied the principles of Mahatma Gandhi in administration & became one of the most successful superintendents of SMS Hospital. Dr. Singh is considered a leading pulmonologist of the country and has thus far treated over 5 lac patients suffering from various debilitating respiratory illnesses such as asthma, COPD & ILD.

A visionary and an innovator, Dr. Singh invented Pink City Flow Meter & PinkCity Lung Exerciser in the 90s revolutionized the diagnosis and treatment of asthmatic patients. For this discovery, he was awarded the Independence Day Award by National Research Development Corporation (NRDC), considered the highest award in the country for invention. Dr. Singh has gone on to establish the ILD India Registry and pioneer treatment of relatively uncommon Interstitial Lung Disease (ILD). He is the director of prestigious Asthma Bhawan, which works in the field of asthma research & tobacco deaddiction.
